Global Services

This program area covers a variety of kinds of CES work. Generally, this work falls under the category of international (non-North American) programs, member services, and administrative services.

International Projects

Herman Greene, the President of CES, has made several trips to the People's Republic of China. As a result of these events the Center for the Study of the Ecozoic and Society has been established at Shenyang University of Technology. The Director of the Center has published a book, Go to Ecozoic, in Chinese. The Center played an important role in the translation of Thomas Berry’s The Great Work into Chinese and its publication and distribution by San Lian Press of Beijing. As a result of the Center’s work, The Great Work has also been translated into Japanese, but it has not yet been published. Dr. Greene has lectured on the ecozoic in Seoul, Korea, and in Harbin, Shenyang, Beijing, Suzhou, Shanghai and Wuhan in China. Nine of his articles or speeches have been published in scholarly journals in China. Dr. Greene will travel to Bangalore, India in 2009.

Member Services

The heart of CES is its members. Membership in CES means a commitment to a vision of an ecozoic society and the great work. Members receive the publications of CES and other resources available from the Center. They have special access to this website and may maintain a member page on the website. They may participate in our programs and shape the work of CES. Sandi Greene is the membership coordinator of CES.
