“The House of Life” launched on Substack!

We’re excited to announce that CES has just launched The House of Life, a new publication on Substack exploring the cultural, ecological, civilizational, and spiritual dimensions of the emerging Ecozoic era. We warmly invite you to join us by subscribing to The House of Life on Substack. You’ll receive featured Ecozoic articles from our publishing archives and current activities, and you’ll be able to join the Ecozoic conversation on Substack by sharing your own comments and reflections.
 
To begin, you may like to read Herman Greene’s foundational essay on Thomas Berry’s “Great Work,” which may well be one of the clearest introductions to Thomas Berry’s articulation of the Great Work of our time.
 
We’ve also just re-published a wide-ranging exchange that brings together naturalist and filmmaker Craig Foster (My Octopus Teacher), political philosopher Louis Herman, and cosmologist Brian Thomas Swimme to discuss Brian’s 2022 book Cosmogenesis: An Unveiling of the Expanding Universe. This evocative discussion of evolutionary cosmology, political philosophy, and great white sharks is not one to be missed.
 
Our new House of Life Substack will showcase highlights from CES’s 25-year publishing archive, its recent study groups, and its current activities. Many of us at CES have long hoped to bring the contributions of CES members and authors to a larger audience in order to share the gifts of the Ecozoic vision more broadly. Our new publication is one of the initiatives we’re pleased to be pursuing in service of this goal.
