“The House of Life” launched on Substack!
April 2026:
Dear friends of CES,
Ā
Weāre excited to announce that CES has just launched The House of Life, a new publication on Substack exploring the cultural, ecological, civilizational, and spiritual dimensions of the emerging Ecozoic era. We warmly invite you to join us by subscribing to The House of Life on Substack. Youāll receive featured Ecozoic articles from our publishing archives and current activities, and you’ll be able to join the Ecozoic conversation on Substack by sharing your own comments and reflections.
Ā
To begin, you may like to read Herman Greeneās foundational essay on Thomas Berryās āGreat Work,ā which may well be one of the clearest introductions to Thomas Berryās articulation of the Great Work of our time.
Ā
Weāve also just re-published a wide-ranging exchange that brings together naturalist and filmmaker Craig Foster (My Octopus Teacher), political philosopher Louis Herman, and cosmologist Brian Thomas Swimme to discuss Brianās 2022 book Cosmogenesis: An Unveiling of the Expanding Universe.Ā This evocative discussion of evolutionary cosmology, political philosophy, and great white sharks is not one to be missed.
Ā
Our new House of Life Substack will showcase highlights from CESās 25-year publishing archive, its recent study groups, and its current activities. Many of us at CES have long hoped to bring the contributions of CES members and authors to a larger audience in order to share the gifts of the Ecozoic vision more broadly. Our new publication is one of the initiatives weāre pleased to be pursuing in service of this goal.
Ā
We hope you will join us.
Ā
To complement these efforts to bring the Ecozoic vision to a wider audience, weāll also be sharing excerpts from CES publications on Instagram and Bluesky. Just click the links to follow along.
Ā
As always, we thank you for your support.
Ā
Yours in Ecozoic service,
Ā
Simon Spire
